COMIC BOOK CONCEPT ART
This is a compound project combining both academic and personal work to develop conceptual art and design for an original comic book/graphic novel titled Famelicose, a story and concept created by me.
The featured poster serves as both conceptual promotional art and a potential cover for the graphic novel. The piece was developed through a structured process involving conceptual sketching and comprehensive planning. I began with line art, followed by a grayscale value composition. Next, I created a rough color comp to explore the mood and palette. The final artwork was completed with refined details and polished rendering.
Comic Page
The accompanying comic page serves as a comprehensive preview of what the graphic novel Famelicose might look like. This single-page sequence presents a narrative moment while also offering a glimpse into the broader world-building of the story. The comic was created using proto-photo methods: the initial sketch and line art were done traditionally using materials such as fineliners and dip pens. Once completed and dried, the line work was scanned and brought into a digital workspace, where it was painted and finalized.
